Naples Island

Naples is a neighborhood of Long Beach, California, United States, built on three islands located in Alamitos Bay. The islands are divided by canals which open into the bay. Most of the streets on the island have Italianate names

Belmont Shore

The Leeway Sailing and Aquatics Center on Alamitos Bay in Belmont Shore is a youth sailing program founded in 1929. The city claims it is one of the premier municipal instructional sailing programs in the country.

Peninsula

The Long Beach breakwaters and the bay entrance jetties typically protects Peninsula Beach from waves so it’s a nice swimming beach. A boardwalk called Seaside Walk runs almost the full length of Peninsula Beach right in front of the homes that face the ocean.

Seal Beach

By the 20th century, it was known as Bay City, but there was already a Bay City located in Northern California. When the time of incorporation on October 27, 1915, the town was named Seal Beach. The town became a popular recreation destination in the area. The Joy Zone, a beach-side amusement park built in 1916, was the first in Orange County.

Park Estates

Park Estates was developed by noted developer Lloyd Whaley in 1948 as part of the development of the larger Los Altos neighborhood that covers much of East Long Beach. This small section of Los Altos was designated as an upscale neighborhood with larger lots, tree-lined streets, and custom built homes instead of the smaller lots and tract homes of Los Altos proper. Between 1948 and 1956, ten separate tracts were built in Park Estates.
